Book Now Learn MoreWitness one of nature's most spectacular phenomena on this 5-day aurora hunting expedition deep into Canada's wild Yukon Territory. The Yukon sits directly beneath the auroral oval — one of the best places on Earth to see the Northern Lights.
Based in Whitehorse, Canada's northernmost capital city, you'll venture out each night to prime dark-sky viewing locations far from city light pollution. Our expert aurora guides track solar activity and cloud cover in real time to maximise your chances of witnessing the dancing green, purple, and white curtains of light.
During the days, immerse yourself in Yukon wilderness experiences — dog sledding, snowshoeing, and wildlife spotting in one of the world's last great wilderness regions. This tour runs from October to March, the prime aurora season.
Arrive at Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport. Transfer to your wilderness lodge. Afternoon orientation with your aurora guide — learn about the science of the Northern Lights, solar activity, and optimal viewing strategies. Dinner at the lodge.
