Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrive Banff, Welcome Dinner

Arrive in Banff and transfer to your mountain lodge. The town of Banff in winter is a cosy alpine village — snow-capped peaks surround you on all sides. Meet your guide and fellow travellers at a welcome dinner, with a briefing on the adventures ahead. Your first glimpse of the frozen Bow River and the incredible winter mountain landscape.

Accommodation: Banff Mountain Lodge (or similar) | Meals: Dinner included

Day 2 — Skiing at Sunshine Village

Full day at Sunshine Village — one of Canada's top ski resorts, with the longest ski season in the country (November to May). 3,300 acres of terrain, 12 lifts, and spectacular Rockies panoramas. Whether you're a seasoned skier or a beginner, Sunshine caters to all levels. Ski passes, group lesson option available. Non-skiers can snowshoe in the area or relax in the village.

Accommodation: Banff Mountain Lodge | Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 3 — Johnston Canyon Ice Walk

One of the most magical winter experiences in the Rockies — the Johnston Canyon ice walk. Strap on ice cleats and walk through a frozen canyon where waterfalls have transformed into towering walls of turquoise and white ice. Your guide explains the geology and ice formation as you walk through this extraordinary natural sculpture. Afternoon at leisure in Banff for shopping and relaxation.

Accommodation: Banff Mountain Lodge | Meals: Breakfast

Day 4 — Lake Louise Skiing

Transfer to Lake Louise Ski Resort — one of the largest ski areas in North America, with 4,200 acres of terrain. Ski with views of the famous Victoria Glacier and the iconic frozen lake below. Advanced terrain, wide cruising runs, and spectacular scenery make this a world-class ski day. Optional visit to the frozen Lake Louise shoreline for photos of this world-famous landscape in its winter glory.

Accommodation: Banff Mountain Lodge | Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 5 — Icefields Parkway Winter Drive

The Icefields Parkway in winter is a world apart from summer — even fewer vehicles, more wildlife (elk, deer, bighorn sheep), and the glaciers and peaks draped in fresh snow. Drive north through this spectacular landscape, stopping at Peyto Lake (frozen into a brilliant blue jewel), Bow Summit, and the iconic Columbia Icefield viewpoint. A photography paradise. Return to Banff for dinner.

Accommodation: Banff Mountain Lodge | Meals: Breakfast

Day 6 — Snowshoeing & Wildlife Spotting

Morning guided snowshoeing tour in the backcountry around Banff. Snowshoes provided — walk through pristine deep powder snow in forests where no summer hiker can go. Your guide explains winter survival strategies of Rocky Mountain wildlife. Afternoon dedicated to wildlife spotting — the Bow Valley Parkway is famous for elk, deer, foxes, and even wolves and coyotes in winter. Optional Banff Upper Hot Springs soak to close a perfect day.

Accommodation: Banff Mountain Lodge | Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 7 — Departure

Final morning in Banff — perhaps a last ski run, a stroll through town, or a quiet coffee watching the mountains in the morning light. Transfer to Calgary International Airport for your departure.
